The Working Holiday Expo, now in its eighth year, will be held on the 30th and 31st
of october 2008 at Wesley Conference Centre, Pitt Street, Sydney.

Right in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, young Autralians and Working Holiday Makers from
overseas will have the opportunity to meet recruitment agencies, potential employers and
travel based services, all with the aim of providing first hand information on how to make
the most of their working holiday.

FACTS:

40,000 Aussies leave Australia to work overseas each year.

134,316 working holiday makers come to Australia each year.

31,203 of these people are from the UK.

13,514 are from Ireland.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKING HOLIDAY EXPO ARE:

• To be a one-stop shop for all employment related information with seminars, interviews and introductions at the show, as well as direct access to expert advice.
• To attract “fresh off the boat” Working Holiday Makers from the UK, Ireland and other nations with reciprocal working holiday schemes, and introduce them directly to recruitment agencies and other travel related services.
• To attract Australians who are planning on working abroad - primarily in the UK and Ireland.
• Attract Worldwide Holiday Makers currently in Australia nearing the end of their visas who are either returning home, wishing to stay Down Under or relocating to another country in search of work.
